Another Portrait Practice Session

Another Portrait Practice Session
Fuji X-T2, Fujinon 35mm f1.4 R with ND filter and off camera flash in shoot-through umbrella.

My daughter asked me if we could do another portrait practice session again and I was happy to oblige. She really wanted to do this shot of her in the middle of a road. I'm not too big on this idea, but I knew of a section of road I thought wouldn't be too busy down by the Verde River. Turned out, a lot of people like to visit the river on Easter Sunday.

We shot these while being attacked by tiny bugs and running back and forth into and out of the street because there were a lot of cars. I think we did okay considering the tricky environment. This one photo I'm using as the featured image on this post is my favorite of all the images. It's downright stunning. Unfortunately, I didn't get to practice some of the posing techniques I recently learned because the bugs and were just too annoying and we needed to get out of there. Next time.

She certainly is getting good at posing on her own, making my job easier.
