First Post, Doesn't Matter

Here it is, the first blog post on a new blog. Nobody will ever see this so it's not important. But, I do think it's important to lay out a few reasons for creating this site in the first place.

The biggest reason this site exists is to share photos, the motivation behind them, what went into them, why I shot something the way I did, etc. Sometimes there will be no reason at all.

I would also like to discuss photography gear but not a whole lot. Photographers love gear, often more than they love photography. It is fun to talk cameras and lenses so I'll do a bit of that too.

Finally, I often wonder what the meaning of photography is, like why even do it. In that vein there will be some philosophy of photography happening too. Overall, I want to nerd out on photography.

Likely, I will post a lot over the next few days and weeks just to build up the site a bit and get some ideas out of my head and onto blog posts.
