Beach Landscapes
Alright, alright, alright. I haven't had time for the blog lately. But, here I am with a fresh post. Nice and short too.
For my 50th birthday, I wanted to go to Mexico for a relaxing extended weekend. My wife, kids and I spent the last 4 days in Rocky Point and it was a nice relaxing time. My mother-in-law has a house there and my wife has been going to Rocky Point her whole life. I've been going since we met back in 1998. It's very much a part of our lives.
One thing I love about going to the Rocky Point house are the sunsets. In June, it's hit or miss on good photogenic sunsets but I got lucky this past weekend and we had an epic sky one night. The colors were wild. I had no expectation of getting a good landscape shot and I was just on a walk down the beach. I did have my Sony ZV-1 in my pocket (I used it as a poor man's RX100). At some point I looked behind me to see this amazing color in the sky and I started snapping away. I was giddy, like a little kid.

Anyway, it worked out and I got a few great shots. I tried again the next day with the more serious camera, but it just wasn't the same.
In addition to landscapes, I shot a lot of portraits of my daughter on the beach for her Instagram profile which you can see below.
